Spell Description

You conjure long vines that sprouts from the ground in an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within range.

When you cast this spell, you can direct a vine to lash out at a creature within 30 feet of it that you can see. That creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or become grappled by the vine. Until the spell ends, you can conjure another vine from the same location directing it to lash out at the same creature or another one as a bonus action on each of your turns. A creature grappled by two or more vines becomes restrained until it ends the grappled condition. A creature that is grappled by three or more vines, has disadvantage on saving throw to end the grappled condition. When a creature uses an action to contest the grappled condition, it ends the grappled condition from all the vines on a success.

Once on each of your turns, the vines can also pull any creature grappled by the vines up to 20 feet directly toward the point where the vines sprout from.

A vine that is grappling a creature can be attacked and destroyed (AC 18; hp 20; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, piercing, poison, and psychic damage).
