A creature takes 7d8 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that fails its saving throw is also deafened for 1 minute. The spell emits a thunderous boom audible out to 300 feet.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d8 for each slot level above 4th.
