Elven Ancestry Traits

  • Low-light vision. You can see in dim light is if it was bright light.

  • Fey Heritage. You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the charmed condition on yourself.

  • Keen senses. You have proficiency in the perception skill.

  • Trance. You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in a trancelike meditation, during which you retain consciousness.

 

Elven Heritage features

Choose on heritage feature:

  • Drow. As a drow, you gain the following benefits:

    • Darkvision. You can see in darkness within 60 feet as if it was dim light, though you can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray when seeing in darkness.

    • Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.

    • Drow Magic. In addition, you learn the faerie fire and detect magic spells. When you reach 5th level, you also learn the darkness spell. When you reach 10th level, you learn the dispel magic spell. You can cast each spell you know through this feature once between long rests without expending a spells slot.

  • High Elf. As a high elf, you gain the following benefits:

    • High Elf Magic. You learn one cantrip from the arcane spell list. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can replace this cantrip with a different cantrip from the arcane list.

    • Graceful Talent. Whenever you finish this long rest, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice and with one weapon or tool of your choice. You retain these proficiencies until you finish your next long rest.

  • Sea Elf. As a sea elf, you gain the following benefits:

    • Swim Speed. you have a swim speed equal to your walking speed and you can communicate simple ideas to any beast that has a swim speed. It can understand your words, though you have no special ability to understand it in return.

    • Water Breathing. You can breathe air and water.

    • Cold Resistance. You have resistance to cold damage.

  • Shadar-kai. As a Shadar-kai, you gain the following benefits:

    • Shadow Step. At the beginning of your turn, you can magically teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You also gain resistance to all damage except force and psychic damage when you teleport using this feature. The resistance lasts until the start of your next turn. During that time, you appear ghostly and translucent. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

  • Wood Elf. As a wood elf, you gain the following benefits:

    • Nature’s Veil. You do not have disadvantage on Dexterity (stealth) checks to hide when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

    • Wood Elf Magic. You learn one cantrip from the primal spell list. At 5th level, you also learn the longstrider and locate animals and plants spells. You can cast these spells once each between long rests without expending a spell slot.
