Ranger Archetypes

Monster Slayer

You specialise in bringing down the largest and most dangerous of foes.

Slayer’s Toughness

When you become a monster slayer, your hit points maximum increases by an amount equal to your ranger level.

Big Game Hunter

As a monster slayer, you specialise in wearing down large foes.

When you hit one of your favoured enemies with an attack, you can replace one of the attack’s damage dice with a d8 (e.g. the weapon’s damage dice, the bonus damage from the brutal weapon property, or the damage bonus from spells such as hunter’s mark).

You only get this benefit against favoured enemies that are large or larger.

Slayer

At 10th level, your tenacity can wear down the most potent foes.

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, the creature takes an extra 1d4 damage if it’s below its hit point maximum.

You can deal this extra damage only once per turn.
