Ranger: Hunter Archetype: Hedge Knight |
|
The simple lifestyle of a Hedge Knight could give the impression
that this is a knight that has fallen from grace, when in fact, this
warrior’s lifestyle is an active choice. Hedge Knights often shun ownership
and sleep rough, accept only little reward for their services. Then again,
all rules have exceptions. |

Hedge Knight Features |
|
Knight’s Quarry Beginning when you
become a hedge knight, you gain the following benefits: •
When a creature hits one of your allies in combat, you
can use a reaction to mark that creature. A marked creature count as a
favoured enemy until it is reduced to 0 hit points or until 1 minute has
passed. While marked, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against
creatures other than you while you are within 10 feet of the marked target. •
If one of your favoured enemies makes an attack against
one of your allies while within 10 feet of you, you gain advantage on the
next attack against that creature before the end of your next turn. •
Making an opportunity attack against a favoured enemy
does not cause you to become flat-footed. Any creature can still only trigger
an opportunity attack from you once between each of your turns. Lowborn As a hedge knight,
you also gain proficiency and expertise with one set of artisan’s tools of
your choice. Ancestral Knighthood Beginning at 10th
level, you gain training with heavy armour and learn a fighting style from
the list of fighting styles available to the fighter. Armoured Casting You ignore spell
failure from armour when you cast ranger spells wearing heavy armour. |
