Bard: Bardic College: College of Valour |
|
Bards of the College of Valor are daring skalds whose tales keep alive
the memory of the great heroes of the past to inspire a new generation of
heroes. These bards gather in mead halls or around great bonfires to sing the
deeds of the mighty, both past and present. |

College of Valour Features |
|
Valour Proficiencies When you join the
College of Valor at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armour,
shields, and martial weapons. Armoured
Casting You ignore spell
failure from armour when you cast bard spells wearing medium armour. Combat Inspiration Also at 3rd level,
you learn to inspire others in battle. A creature inspired by your ‘bardic
performance’ can expend the dice for these additional benefits: •
If the creature hits another creature
with a weapon, it can expend the dice to add the number rolled to the
weapon’s damage roll. •
When hit by an attack, the creature
can roll the bardic performance dice as a reaction and add the number rolled
to its AC against the attack, potentially changing a hit into a miss. If an inspired
creature uses its bardic performance die in these way,
the effect also ends the ‘bardic performance’ for that creature. War Chants Starting at 6th
level, while you are concentrating on a spell or an effect that requires you
to maintain concentration, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever
you take the attack action on your turn. You do not gain this benefit if you
already have the extra attack class feature. Also, you can also
add your proficiency bonus to saving throws to maintain concentration on
spells and abilities if you are not already proficient in Constitution saving
throws. Battle Magic At 18th level, you
have mastered the art of weaving spellcasting and weapon use into a single
harmonious act. When you use your action or bonus action to cast a spell or
expend one of your bardic performance dice, you can make one weapon attack immediately
after that action or bonus action. |
