Bard: Peerless Skills |
|
At 5th level, you
can choose one of the following skills that you are proficient with:
Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation,
Performance, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, and Stealth. Once between long
rests you can forgo rolling the chosen skill and automatically succeed on the
roll instead (as described for each peerless skill). You also gain an
additional magical ability depending on the skill you have chosen. You can change your
chosen skill for another skill you are proficient in from the list whenever
you gain a level in this class. |

Performance: Inspiring Once between long
rests, you can automatically succeed on an ability check using Performance
instead of rolling. If you perform for
at least 1 minute, you can attempt to magically inspire wonder in onlookers
by singing, reciting a poem, or speaking. Choose a number of humanoids within
60 feet of you who watched and listened to all of it, up to a number equal to
your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each target must succeed on a Wisdom
saving throw or be charmed by you. While charmed in
this way, the target idolises you, it speaks glowingly of you to anyone who
talks to it, and assists you to the best of its abilities, although it avoids
violence unless it was already inclined to fight on your behalf. This effect ends on
a target when you use this ability again, if it takes any damage, if you
attack it, or if it witnesses you attacking or damaging any of its allies. |
