Bulky Toad Wild Trait Options |

|
Bulky. This
creature gains proficiency in Strength and Constitution saving throws. Keen
senses (sight). This creature has advantage on Wisdom
(Perception) checks that rely on sight. Large
(counts as 2 wild traits). This creature’s size
is large and as a result this creature gains +2 bonus to its armour class and
a 1d4 damage bonus to its melee damage rolls. The large trait replaces the
template’s physical ability scores with: Strength 17 (+3), Dex 12 (+1), Con 16
(+3). Multiattack:
Sticky Tongue (counts as 2 wild traits). This
creature can use a bonus action to make a special attack, sticky tongue: •
Sticky Tongue. Melee
Attack, reach 20 ft., 1d6 bludgeoning damage. If the
target is smaller than this creature, it is immediately moved adjacent to
this creature on a hit. Natural
Camouflage. When this creature
takes the hide action, it can attempt to hide by pressing itself up against a
solid surface, allowing it to hide in plain sight. If this creature hides
against a surface, it remains hidden for as long as it remains there without
moving or taking actions. If this creature moves or takes an action or a
reaction, it is revealed. Any creature that observes this creature hide in
this way remains aware of this creature’s location. Natural
Protection. This creature’s armour class becomes 16
instead of the template’s normal armour class and it does not add Dexterity
to its armour class. Protective
Shell. This creature gains a +2
bonus to its armour class. Skilled
Adaptor. This creature has proficiency in Stealth
and Survival. If this creature is already proficient with both of these
skills, it instead gains expertise in one of these skills. Special
Attack: Swallow Whole. When this creature
takes an attack action, it can replace one of its attacks with a special
attack, swallow whole: •
Swallow Whole. Melee
Attack, reach 5 ft., 1d6 slashing damage and the target is grappled.
If this creature is already grappling the target and the target is one size
smaller than this creature, the target must succeed on a Strength saving
throw or be swallowed and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the target is
restrained and blinded, it has total cover against attacks and
other effects outside of this creature, and it takes (3d6) acid
damage at the end of each of its turns. This creature can have only one
target swallowed at a time. If the swallowed target ends the restrained condition,
it is no longer swallowed and exits prone. If this creature dies or
loses this attack, a target is also not swallowed by this creature anymore
and automatically escapes, exiting prone. Sticky-footed. This
creature gains a climb speed equal to its speed. If this creature already has
a climb speed, it can increase that climb speed by 10 feet instead. This
creature also gains the ability to move up, down, and across vertical
surfaces and upside down along ceilings. Strong
Leap. This creature has advantage on
Strength (athletics) checks, and its jumping distance is doubled. Further,
this creature does not need a running start to make a long or high jump. Toxic
Skin. This creature’s skin is covered in a toxic
mucus. Once on a turn, a creature that comes in contact with the mucus must
make a Constitution saving throw or become fatigued until the end of its next
turn. If the target rolls a 1 on the saving throw, it becomes paralysed
instead. A creature comes in contact with the mucus: •
If it hits this creature with an unarmed strike. •
If it ends its turn grappled or restrained
by this creature (or grappling or restraining this creature). •
When this creature hits it with an unarmed strike, it
can forgo dealing damage to instead touch the target with the mucus. |
